Pressure Reducing Station

We design and specify pressure reducing stations for high pressure steam. Typical letdown pressures would be 40-10 bar as is common in the dairy industry.  Using our Trimteck control valves we can provide large turndowns of up to 40-1 so that we often reduce the costs of a project by using one valve where often two would be needed by competitors valves.  

We are experienced in designing the system to prevent damage of the control valve minimizing maintenance costs.  We have design verified steam separators to remove the moisture from the steam that would otherwise damage the control valve.

For high pressure steam isolation above 10bar we recommend and stock parallel slide gate valves with welded seats.  These have proved durable and reliable and we also provide an automated version as shown in the photo where we use an air ram to actuate the valve. 

Every let down station must be designed to meet the customers specific needs and the better information given to us the better we can engineer a system to meet the customers requirements.
